Seven Little Sliders

This is a food truck you’ll find at various spots around town. You might also find them at your next event if you hire them to cater, which we highly recommend. They always use fresh food that is locally sourced, and you can really taste the difference. On their website, they post where they’re going to be every day and even give you the option to order ahead so you don’t have to wait.

Menu items change frequently, and that’s because the ingredients are locally sourced. Our absolute favorite is their steak burger. It’s a mix of ground ribeye, strip loin, tenderloin, short ribs, and sirloin. They put that on a King’s Hawaiian sweet roll with your choice of cheese and their amazing sour cream and horseradish sauce.

Ritzy’s

This is a local diner that knows how to serve up food that you will love, and hamburgers are one of their specialties. You’ll find them at 4615 North High St. in Columbus, and they are open from 11 AM until 9 PM every day of the week. They also have good ice cream, shakes, and fantastic fries. Going here is a real throwback experience.

Their delicious burger comes in a single, double, or triple. You can build it however you like with all of the toppings you want. While you’re there, we recommend getting their shoestring fries to go with it, as well as a milkshake. If you have someone along who doesn’t like burgers, have them try the absolutely amazing peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Trust us.

The Whitney House

This bistro/pub is a fantastic local spot you’ll find at 666 High St. From Tuesday through Thursday, they’re open from 11 AM to 2 PM for lunch and from 4 to 9 PM for dinner. On Friday, they stay open until 10 PM. On Saturdays, they’re open from 10 AM to 2 PM and from 4 to 10 PM for dinner. On Sundays, they’re open from 10 AM to 2 PM and from 4 until 8 PM for dinner.

This is American comfort food, but it’s also rustic and locally sourced whenever possible. We highly recommend the Ohio burger, which is local beef with Tillamook cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and their housemaid aïoli sauce. Is the only burger they do, but they do it absolutely perfectly. It’s also served up with their signature fries, which are to die for.
