Meet the Beasts
Prior generations of the Chevy Silverado 1500 have offered unrelenting power and performance. Fortunately, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree with the 2022 model. This pickup truck can be configured with four engines, which include:
- 2.7L Turbo Engine: 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.
- 5.3L ECOTEC3 V8 Engine: 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.
- 6.2L ECOTEC3 V8 Engine: 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
- Duramax® 3.0L Turbo-Diesel Engine: 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
Although Chevy has not released information on just how much this truck can tow or carry, we expect the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 to compete with the big dogs in the truck sector.
Plus, the Silverado 1500 will be able to run with the beasts thanks to its off-roading champ: the ZR2 trim level.
