The Trailblazer comes standard with a 137-horsepower 1.2L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, but you can upgrade to a 155-horsepower 1.3L turbocharged 3-cylinder. Both engines deliver reliable power for driving around town or maneuvering on the highway. Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission are standard for both engines, but you have the option of all-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission for the 1.3-liter engine.

Despite its size, the Trailblazer has sharp steering and a small turning radius, making it highly maneuverable and balanced. The suspension is finely tuned, and helps the Trailblazer glide over road imperfections, so passengers won’t be disturbed by bumps and cracks in the pavement. In the off-road environment, the Trailblazer with all-wheel drive can handle the trails. When properly equipped, the Trailblazer can tow up to 1,000 pounds.
