2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: Classic Performance

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has to be able to do a lot of things for a lot of different people. The type of work done on a farm is different than a construction site, which is different than renovations you might be doing around your home. So as always, Chevy has given the Silverado 1500 a range of engine options.

The smallest motor is a stout turbocharged 4-cylinder making 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. This little four-popper uses an 8-speed transmission. The other Silverado 1500 engine using the 8-speed would be a 5.3L V8 boasting 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.

There’s a second V8 in the lineup as well, a 6.2L making 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This V8 relies on a 10-speed automatic, similar to the last engine which is a 3.0L diesel. If you opt for the diesel, you can expect 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

2023 Chevy Silverado 1500: Easy to Customize
